Bay Adelaide CentreThe Globe’s Streetwise blog is reporting this morning that Heenan Blaikie corporate lawyer Erin O’Toole is gearing up for a run at the Conservative nomination for the upcoming byelection to fill recently resigned Durham MP Bev Oda’s seat in Parliament.

O’Toole, who was called to the bar in 2004 and has also worked at Stikeman Elliott and Proctor and Gamble, is a former military officer and the son of area MPP John O’Toole (a Progressive Conservative elected in Mike Harris’s Common Sense Revolution of 1995).

An advertising and marketing specialist, O’Toole recently debuted as a legal columnist in Marketing magazine, and is a founder of the True Patriot Love Foundation.
