The Canadian legal landscape is changing again.
A week after Lang Michener and McMillan confirmed their merger, Ogilvy Renault LLP has announced that it will join Norton Rose Group in June 2011.
“As our Canadian clients become increasingly successful on the international stage, we need to be able to support their international growth,” John Coleman, Ogilvy managing partner, said in a release. “This combination will provide our clients access to a vast pool of talented resources and network around the world.” Coleman will join the Norton Rose Executive Committee.
The firm will be known as Norton Rose OR LLP, reports Legal Post, and will be joined in the June 1 merger by South African firm Deneys Reitz.
