According to our last handy little poll (there’s a new one now, go vote!), 62 percent of you like watching legal dramas. Well today’s your lucky day. Or some day in 2011 will be, anyway, when “Law and Order” producer Rene Balcer launches his next show, another criminal justice drama, slated to be filmed and set in a Canadian city. The former Montrealer likes the idea of bringing his work home and broadening his viewer base to the smaller networks in Canada where the “creative palate is somewhat bigger.” This news comes as “Law and Order” begins its 20th season on NBC, tying the record for longest-running drama in prime time.
