Precedent has been keeping track of hireback numbers on our super popular Hireback Chart. Below, we’ve done the math on hireback rates at Toronto’s biggest firms. Here are a few things we learned:
- Highest hireback rates: Osler (100%), Blakes (81%), Cassels (79%), Faskens (72%), Torys (72%)
- Lowest hireback rates: Gowlings (28%), Miller Thomson (36%), FMC (47%), BLG (50%), Ogilvy (54%)
- Firms that hire the most first year associates: Osler (33), Blakes (23), Stikeman Elliott (21) (note: Blakes hired 22 students, plus one student who clerked)
