Bonnie Tough is the winner of this year’s Ontario Bar Association Award for Excellence in Civil Litigation. It’s been a good year, recognition-wise, for the senior partner at Tough & Podrebarac LLP; she received the Women’s Law Association of Ontario 2010 President’s Award earlier this year .
Her latest honour is given annually to a member of the Bar who demonstrates top-level contributions in a number of realms, including: outstanding advocacy skills; professionalism, integrity and civility; teaching of civil litigation and practice; enhancement of the practice of civil litigation; and leadership in the Civil Litigation Bar.
The recognition is well deserved. “Bonnie’s skills in oral and written advocacy, her contributions to legal education and her leadership within the civil litigation bar make her an obvious recipient,” says OBA Civil Litigation Section Chair Audrey Ramsay.
