Michael SchaflerYesterday evening, the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC) recognized FMC partner Michael Schafler (pictured) for his work with the Mentoring Partnership, a network-building tool for New Canadians.

Schafler received a special achievement award for his work as a mentor for the program, which connects skilled recent immigrants with Canadian professionals working in a similar field. The mentors spend 24 hours over four months helping mentees build up a network and meet potential employers.

FMC was the first law firm to partner with TRIEC.
