The lawyers and staff of Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg wish to honour the memory of our founding partner, colleague and friend, David A. Ward, Q.C., who passed away on January 13, 2010. Our deepest sympathies are extended to his family.
No single person has contributed more to the growth and development of our firm than David. Throughout his more than 50 years of professional life, David exemplified the highest standard of professional excellence. By his example and his expectations, he compelled those around him to be better than they otherwise would have been, and to accomplish more than they otherwise would have dared.
David was an exceptional person and lawyer, always demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the highest ethical standards and an innate sense of fairness.
We will be forever grateful for David’s leadership, guidance and example.
