Men outnumber women two to one on the list of 2011 LSUC bencher election candidates, which is now available [PDF] on the Law Society’s website (though, of course, it’s subject to change if candidates withdraw).
There are 106 candidates listed. Here’s a look at a few key numbers:
- Outside Toronto candidates: 53
- Toronto candidates: 53
- Male candidates: 72 (37 Outside Toronto, 35 Toronto)
- Female candidates: 34 (16 Outside Toronto, 18 Toronto)
- Incumbents seeking re-election: 28 (14 Outside Toronto, 14 Toronto)
