In June, more than 400 people gathered at one of Toronto’s most storied music venues to celebrate Wildeboer Dellelce LLP’s 30th anniversary. The festivities took place at the El Mocambo, the legendary 75-year-old bar that has hosted countless renowned musicians, most famously The Rolling Stones in 1977. Wildeboer Dellelce treated those in attendance—which included current members of the firm, as well as alumni, clients and friends—to an energetic performance by the beloved Toronto-based cover band Dwayne Gretzky.
Founded in 1993 as Wildeboer Apps, the firm was established by six friends with two common goals: to build a great business law firm and to have more fun practising law. Since then, it’s become one of Canada’s top corporate, securities and business-transaction law firms.
“We like to do things a little differently when we can, so when it came time to plan the celebration of our 30 years of excellence, what better place than the El Mocambo, a Toronto institution,” says Paul Flint, the chief information officer at Wildeboer Dellelce, who’s worked at the firm since its founding. “We’re all very happy with the way it turned out.”
