On Wednesday night, Precedent magazine won Trade Magazine of the Year at the Editors’ Choice Awards, an annual award show put on by the Canadian Society of Magazine Editors.
We are proud to be recognized by our peers in the magazine community. The award is a reflection of the hard work and talent of all our writers, editors, photographers, illustrators and researchers.
Also, on Tuesday, we were recognized at the Kenneth R. Wilson Awards, an annual gala that celebrates business-to-business publishing.
Our big win came in the category of Art Direction for a Complete Issue, where we won Gold for our Summer 2013 issue. Our art director, Gilbert Li, was on hand to accept the award.
We also earned an honourable mention for our Fall 2013 cover, shot by the excellent photographer Jaime Hogge. And our news editor, Daniel Fish, earned two honourable mentions in the Best Online-Only Article category — one for his reporting on the Law Practice program and another for his piece on the legality of Canada’s first bulletproof business suit.
Congratulations to all of the winners at this year’s magazine awards!
