More than 100 people from the law and social-justice communities gathered early this month to celebrate the Law Foundation of Ontario’s 2017 Guthrie Award recipient: Reem Bahdi, an associate professor at the University of Windsor.

Bahdi is Canada’s first tenured Palestinian-Canadian law professor, with expertise in the human rights of Arabs and Muslims in Canada. And she was instrumental in the creation of the Arab Canadian Lawyers Association.
