We all know the major law offices on Bay St. are tricked out with sky-high addresses and impressive art. Now the rest of Toronto is in on the secret. The April 2013 issue of Toronto Life features the Toronto headquarters of Torys LLP as one of the five coolest work spaces in the city in its Great Spaces section of the mag. The firm is in good company, with the likes of the Toronto Google office making the cut as well.

Shots of Torys’ hip art collection and bright open spaces (taken by Derek Shapton, who photographed Katherine Hensel in our Winter 2012 issue) highlight the modern makeover KPMB Architects pulled off for the law firm in 2007.

In fact, art and design at the Torys office is so influential, TIFF lawyer Sarah Huggins decided to display framed sketches from her grandfather’s architecture portfolio a certain way on her wall because she was inspired by a similar arrangement during her time at the Seven Sisters firm. Talk about art arrangements imitating…err, art arrangements!
