Welcome to the new and improved Lawandstyle.ca. After over a year of business development, we’re finally up and running. Concurrent with the launch of our new print magazine, Precedent: The new rules of law and style, we have relaunched our website with new features and a new design.
But that’s not where the fun stops. Not even a little bit. If you head over to your mailbox, you’ll likely find a copy of our premiere print issue polybagged with your Ontario Reports. It’s our great pleasure to bring it to you, and we hope you enjoy it.
We want to sincerely thank all of you for reading online over our first year — the encouragement and support has been wonderful as we developed the magazine concept. We also want to thank our advertisers, many of whom stepped up to be a part of our first issue based only on a prototype and our overwhelming enthusiasm. In particular we want to thank our charter advertisers who made a strong commitment to our first issue and beyond: Marsden International, RainMaker Group, ZSA Legal Recruitment.
Launching a magazine is not easy in Canada, especially as an independent. However, getting to print, and seeing the reactions from people has been incredibly rewarding. Precedent is proud to be Ontario’s first independent legal publication for young lawyers, and we look forward to many years as a vocal member of our legal community.
One final note. There’s a lot of great new things on this site, but we’ve got all your favourites too: The Fashionista (in the columns section), our daily blog, and much of the magazine’s content is now online, with web exclusive enhancements. And there’s more to come in the near future. We hope you enjoy it.
