What: Pub Night, hosted by the Young Advocates’ Committee of The Advocates’ Society
Where: Pravda Vodka Bar, 44 Wellington Street East
When: June 1, 2011
For advocates young and young at heart looking to network with peers in a relaxed setting, Pub Nights, a regular networking and social event hosted by the Young Advocates’ Committee of The Advocates’ Society, are the place to be.
This month’s event at the Pravda Vodka Bar provided a unique and stylish venue, along with great food, an extended Happy Hour open bar, and an 8GB iPod door prize all thanks to event sponsor Commonwealth Legal.
While it may have surprised a few that a hip DJ, accompanied by an improvisational flautist (!), would provide us a classic 80s and 90s easy rock soundtrack for this soiree, the relaxed vibe free of pretension was perfect for networking. With spectacularly tasty vodka martinis to ease young lawyers into open conversations, guests seemed comfortably able to make the rounds to introduce themselves to some new folks, and catch up with colleagues.
