What: “Rockin’ the Courthouse,” a concert in aid of the Toronto Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program
Where: The Courthouse, 57 Adelaide Street East
When: May 6, 2011
Last Friday, lawyer bands Hung Jury, The Loopholes, The Margins, The Soul Practitioner and Tortious Conduct — along with participating producer League of Rock‘s showcase band, Motion Denied — had people of all vintages rockin’ out for a great cause at Rockin’ the Courthouse.
The concert took place at The Courthouse — one of Toronto’s landmark venues, and also the home of the original York County Courthouse — and was sponsored by McMillan Law Professional Corporation, Gardiner Roberts LLP, Howie, Sacks & Henry LLP and Paliare Roland Rosenberg Rothstein LLP. This show was a first for the Toronto Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program, which is operated by the Law Society.
Organizer John McMillan, The Law Society Foundation and the League of Rock are pleased to announce that Rockin’ the Courthouse was a sold out event, and will provide approximately 2,800 meals to Toronto’s residents in need through the Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program.
