The newest litigation boutique in Toronto has a unique competitive advantage. “The one thing that is really different about us is our personality,” said John Adair, co-founder of Adair Goldblatt Bieber LLP, at the firm’s launch party, held last week at Luma on the second floor of the TIFF Lightbox. “We take our work seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We’re trying really hard to have fun.”
It’s that simple. Sure, he wants the firm to do terrific legal work, but that would hardly make it original. “So many firms are doing a great job with first-rate people,” he explained. And though the firm intends to take on non-lucrative files that are good causes, Adair is quick to point out: “We’re not the only firm to operate that way.” Which leaves, at root, having fun. “We’re so excited to grow this firm our way.”
