What: Precedent Setter Awards 2013

Family, friends and colleagues of the five Precedent Setter Award winners gathered at the Storys Building near King and University last week for our annual shindig celebrating emerging leaders of law in their first 10 years of practice. The two-hour event, which had over 100 guests, included a brief awards ceremony, passed canapés (including a cheesecake that received raves) and Precedent’s signature drink of the evening — a very tasty red wine sangria — that proved to be a hit with those who tried it.
For Precedent Setter winner Sara Cohen, June 18 nearly turned out to be a special day for a completely different reason. The soon-to-be mother was experiencing contractions a few hours before the ceremony, yet still managed to arrive in time to accept her award later that night.
