While all of Canada is buzzing and/or brewing about the results of last night’s federal election, the Precedent office is cheering about results of a different kind: The nominees for the Kenneth R. Wilson Awards were released this morning, and Precedent is up for six awards!
The Kenneth R. Wilson Awards celebrate business-to-business Canadian magazines, and we at Precedent are thrilled to be nominated. The winners will be announced June 1 at the gala reception in Toronto, so start sending out those good vibes now.
With six nominations, we’ve upped our game since last year, where we took five (including one for Magazine of the Year). Our student issue (Fall 2010) cleaned out as well, snagging three nominations.
Here’s a list of what we’re up for this year:
- Best Cover: Fall 2010
- Best Issue: Fall 2010
- Best How-To: Eight Career-Limiting Moves by Crystal Luxmore
- Best Art Direction of a Complete Issue: Fall 2010
- Best Art Direction of an Opening Spread or Complete Feature: Precedent Setter Awards, Summer 2010
- Best Photograph: Shooting Star by Daniel Ehrenworth
Wish us luck!
