Managing partner Tom Altosaar thanked his clientele for a great 28 months, saying, “It’s been the best ride I’ve experienced in 35 years of hospitality.”
South of Temperance plans to go out with a bang over their final three weeks, kicking off with Oktoberfest celebrations on October 3rd (featuring a live oompa-pa band!). Their last Bay Street business day will be October 19th. As for the future, Altosaar assures us that they will be back. Spring 2013 will see the opening of casual-concept restaurants on Fort York Boulevard and on Cornwall Road in Oakville. They continue to hunt for a location in the core.
Precedent’s Judge Foodie commented that the bar and restaurant has been “a favourite watering hole for lawyers in the core” for the last two years, and that it “will be sadly missed in the downtown landscape.”
Lawyers around the city will mourn the loss of such an epic patio, great location and good food.
