Motorsports: 6th Gear Track Days

That Porsche was designed for more than just looking good in your parking spot. Track days at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park are an ideal time to push your race car to the limits and nerd out with other petrol heads. With a full day of open track time, chef-prepared meals and instructors available to assist less experienced drivers, 6th Gear’s events will help anyone bring out their inner Schumacher. And if that’s not your Porsche after all, you can rent a race-ready car on the day of the event.

Price for the day: $650 (You can also rent a race-ready car for $1,800.)

Military History: The Royal Canadian Military Institute

And no, we haven’t forgotten about the military-history buffs in the room. For you, the Royal Canadian Military Institute on University Avenue has the power to be a home away from home, with guest lectures and a boardroom adorned with swords and pistols. Among the amenities are a fitness centre and two dining rooms.

Price for membership: If you live in Toronto, the initiation fee is $2,000 plus $1,570 a year.
