Last Friday saw Tempus International throw their “Thou Shalt Kick It!” fundraiser at the Berkeley Church, a 17th Century church turned event venue. The award-winning, Canadian-based NGO develops and promotes programs that provide underprivileged children in developing countries with the opportunity to enhance their literacy and attend school. The proceeds of this event go towards hosting the third bi-annual “The Mighty Pen” writing competition for youth in Nepal, which awards 18 children tuition scholarships to support their continued pursuit of education.

The festivities included foods prepared by Chef Nathan Ginsberg, cirque acts by Zero Gravity Circus and an impressive silent auction with items such as a $300 Toronto International Film Festival package, a helicopter tour of Toronto and a signed NFL jersey.
