The LSUC will be hosting Barack Obama's campaign advisor in honour of Black History Month

COMING SOON: To round off the first week of Black History Month, an advisor to President Barack Obama’s presidential campaign will host a special reception at the Law Society on Thursday, February 5. A prominent U.S. lawyer, Dennis Wayne Archer is the former mayor of Detroit (1993-2001) and was the first black president of the American Bar Association. He plans to share some stories from the campaign trail and discuss the cultural significance of Obama’s inauguration. Precedent will be there – we’ve already booked our seats!
