The Ontario Bar Association and New York State Bar Association later this month will host a legal summit focusing on cross-border issues for lawyers involved in corporate, litigation or general practice.

The two-day event, “1 Legal System + 2 Jurisdictions = Infinite Opportunity” — run in conjunction with the Law Society of Upper Canada — will take place on March 28 in Toronto and March 29 in Buffalo.

Law Society treasurer Laurie Pawlitza will moderate a panel featuring the chief judge of the New York Court of Appeals and the chief justice of the Ontario Court of Appeal, who will discuss access to justice.

Participants can earn CPD credits (4.75 substantive hours; 1.75 professionalism hours; and 6.5 new member hours).
