The latest from the Law Society: LSUC is partnering with Pro Bono Law Ontario and Legal Aid Ontario on the Ontario Civil Legal Needs Project. For those of you unfamiliar, this project is designed to evaluate and analyze the legal needs of low- and middle-income Ontarians, with the aim of determining how the legal community might better meet those needs. The project’s three main components are an extensive telephone survey of the public; a series of focus groups with front-line legal and social service providers and; the mapping and analysis of existing access to justice programs. The Honourable Roy McMurtry will chair the steering committee.
