The Iranian Legal Professionals of Ontario will have its official launch tomorrow in Toronto.

The ILPO is a not-for-profit, non-partisan, non-religious organization with a mandate to “build, maintain and strengthen a network of Iranian legal professionals in Ontario.” The organization — which includes lawyers, paralegals, law clerks and law students — establishes mentorship programs and provides guidance to Iranian legal professionals in Ontario at various stages of their careers; it also establishes links between the Iranian legal community in Ontario and other legal organizations in the province.

The launch event is this Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Traders Bar & Grill (located on the lobby level of Sheraton Centre Toronto).

More than 90 people are expected to attend, including representatives from the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers, Tirgan Iranian Festival, Iranian Canadian Network, Iranian Canadian Congress, Shabeh Jomeh Networking Organization, Toronto Iranians Community Group, Iranian Queer Organization, Iranian Women’s Organization of Ontario, Canadian Society of Iranian Engineers and Architects, Farvardin Cultural Centre, Salam Toronto Newspaper, Shahrvand Newspaper and Jooya Online.

Dr. Reza Moridi, MPP for Richmond Hill, will also be in attendance and is scheduled to deliver remarks.
