Toronto Intellectual Property Group September Social

The TIPG launches its party season in a downtown oasis

Toronto Intellectual Property Group, September Social @ Vertical - Sept 11th, 2013

What: Toronto Intellectual Property Group September Social
Where: Vertical, First Canadian Place, 100 King Street West
When: September 11, 2013

Having shifted to a new outdoor location this year, TIPG members seemed to be enjoying the unique covered patio space at Vertical in spite of the brief downpour that kick-started the evening. Overlooking a courtyard, surrounded by reflective financial district towers and set back from King St., the soundtrack of rushing water provided by the large waterfall allowed guests to almost forget about the busy city behind them. The wine, beer and delicious hors d’oeuvres certainly helped as well.

According to Ashlee Froese, chair of TIPG and also a lawyer at Gilbert’s, “The Toronto Intellectual Property Group provides a great forum for Toronto-based intellectual property professionals to regularly come together in an informal, friendly and collegial atmosphere.  The September social is our annual event that kicks off the season. Following the September social, TIPG hosts monthly substantive legal seminars, which are geared to helping practitioners address relevant issues that their clients face.”

The TIPG aims to provide topical education forums and networking events for their members — lawyers, patent agents, trade-mark agents, students and trainees in the GTA — with an interest in intellectual property law and related litigation.
