Former Liberal Party leader and Massey College fellow Michael Ignatieff joins a cadre of leading North American scholars, policy-makers, practicing lawyers and heath care professionals at this year’s National Health Law Conference.

The conference — which runs from May 4-5 at the Metropolitan Hotel Toronto — will explore how law can address global health challenges and “make real progressive change,” according to the event’s website.

Areas of focus include medical tourism, vulnerable populations, international human rights, spread of chronic disease, and pharmaceuticals and free trade.

This program can be applied toward the 9 substantive hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) required by the Law Society of Upper Canada.
