OTTAWA – Former Canadian ambassador to the U.S. Michael Kergin will join the ranks of Bennett Jones LLP as senior advisor. Kergin is a career diplomat and has held several senior positions with the Department of Foreign Affairs (then External Affairs). Chairman and CEO of Bennett Jones Hugh MacKinnon commented that Kergin’s expertise “will be a tremendous asset to our clients and our new Public Policy Group.” Kergin will join the firm’s Ottawa office in early 2009.
