AIDSbeat supporters — including Precedent editor and publisher Melissa Kluger – were invited Thursday morning to open the Toronto Stock Exchange.

AIDSbeat, which takes place tomorrow night at Kool Haus, is an annual rock ‘n roll battle of the bands in support of the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR) by the Toronto legal community. Bands made up of lawyers compete for the Lexpert Cup, awarded by AIDSbeat celebrity judges, and for the Platinum Legal People’s Choice award.

This year’s AIDSbeat — the 16th year of the event — will raise an estimated $2.5 million for AIDS research.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. For more information, visit the AIDSbeat website.
