Don’t miss your chance to give a great lawyer a little credit! Tomorrow (April 1) is the nominations deadline for the inaugural Precedent Setter Awards.
This new award, presented by Precedent Magazine, will recognize lawyers called to the bar in the past ten years who have shown excellence and leadership in their practice and their community. Maybe it’s someone who is a star in the courtroom, or someone you always want on your deal. It could be a lawyer who has bravely struck out on their own, or whose work as in-house counsel goes the extra distance. Maybe they’ve worked tirelessly for a non-profit or Legal Aid, or they’ve made a pro bono contribution that’s had a great impact on the community, or they take time beyond their billables to mentor, teach or publish.
Give it some thought (but hurry). We want to recognize the next generation of legal stars. Winners will be profiled in the next issue of Precedent and honoured at an awards reception.
